Officiants

If you need an officiant to perform your ceremony, we can help. One of our officiants may be available to plan and bless your union on your big day.  Each will want to meet you, hear your ideas, and help you craft a meaningful ceremony.  You can read about each of them here.

If you have someone else in mind to perform the ceremony, we're open to that, too. For guest ministers, a few rules do apply, but if he or she is ordained or has theological training, it shouldn't be a problem. Just ask our Wedding Coordinator about the details.

Planning a wedding can be as joyful as the wedding itself, really! It can also be stressful. As an officiant, I hope to work with you to make the process as joyful and true to you as can be.

I believe that a wedding is a celebration of your relationship, of your commitment, and of the community that celebrates with you. Your wedding should represent your beliefs about marriage, honor your traditions and cultures, and mark the momentous occasion with a ritual that is fitting.

As an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, I would be honored to perform your ceremony. Our tradition welcomes and celebrates love in all its forms – same gender, opposite gender, interfaith, intercultural, and bilingual (I speak English and Spanish). I would meet with you at least once or twice before hand to get to know you and understand what is important to you for this occasion, and to offer a space for you as a couple to prepare for your wedding and life together.

I’m told I’m “easy to work with,” because I believe your wedding should be a time of joy, not stress. Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. On that day you covenant - promise - before God, family and friends to spend your future together, in good times and in tough times as well.

Your wedding day is truly “the first day of the rest of your life” for once the ceremony is over you are a new family and the future is yours to create, mold, shape, transform, give rise to, etc. The possibilities are endless.

I am an ordained United Church of Christ, Congregational minister who has performed well over a hundred weddings: church weddings, weddings in halls and parks and backyards, same sex weddings and opposite sex weddings, Christian-Jewish weddings, Christian-Hindu weddings, vow renewals, and many other relationships as well. I consider it an honor and a privilege to work with wedding couples and their families to make their wedding ceremony special for them.
